The books are the canonical artifact. They are the place where the framework — fire, surplus, empire; the Throughput Engine; the 20-Note Flavor Taxonomy — is laid down in full. They are also long, and not everyone reading them tonight is going to be on shift tomorrow night.
The Companion is the working surface built on top of the framework. Drink composition through the same flavor vocabulary the books develop. Ingredient sourcing using the same supply-chain logic. Menu engineering through the same throughput tiers. Event planning that knows the difference between an Old Fashioned and a Negroni and a Sazerac at 11pm on a Friday.
The Companion lives at grimoire.bar. It is its own product, with its own subscription, its own working bartenders inside it. It is by the same people who wrote the books.
